home town stories.
Chatted with a new friend I met from church and another friend I had today. (I would post a picture of the bulletin/flyer thing they had, it was in color and all fancy and plus they offered donuts/bagels/coffee/fruit and had a really nice worship team, 2 actually that rotated, one before the message and another after, but I think I left it there D: ) The church was interesting, I guess the message was pretty good I found some discrepancies? Went to a lunch potluck afterwards and that was quite nice, but I'll be trying out other churches still so, we'll see.
But something I realized was just how blessed I was to have lived and been educated in Plano. Our education system is definitely something incredible. I took 14 AP classes and 13 AP tests and passed all 13 of them. AND, that wasn't even all the AP classes our school offered! Most people don't take 6-7 AP classes in their junior/senior years of high school in Plano anyways, but we had that option. And we had pretty great teachers and resources to help us pass those tests, given we gave effort in studying and knowing the material on these tests. A lot of the people I've talked to here only had like, 13 AP courses offered, or even less.
We truly are pretty lucky in Plano. Plus, (for public schools, not fancy private Ivy Leagues and whatnot) our AP classes count for a lot of credit that we don't have to take again in college.
It's pretty amazing.
THE END.
