freshman day #6

the first day of college classes.

I didn't post yesterday, but y'all don't want to hear me blab everyday anyways so, all is good.

Today was the first day of classes. I stayed up till nearly 3 last night with the most generous and knowledgeable RC writing my application for the HHCA (Hutton Honors Council Association) Yay for trying to have leadership/officer positions/clubs. That was a joy.

Didn't end up attending church unfortunately, but there was FaithFest where I learned about the various fellowship groups on campus and then some of the churches. A lot of Lutheran churches, interestingly enough. But Cru is still the most prominent group on campus. The Navigators are pretty established as well, but Intervarsity on the other hand, not so much. The group must really be small, they don't have a fixed meeting place they meet in every week and the table didn't have too many helpers. But nevertheless I shall try them all, along with Clearnote Campus Fellowship and Christian Student Fellowship? I don't think I'll try the coed Greek group though. I don't know, I think that's a little out there for me.

ANYWAYS TODAY,

If you're not already bored of hearing me blabber. My first class started at 1. Delightful right? But my eyes still glazed over in class; hopefully it was just a lack of sleep and it'll be better Wednesday. I was 15 minutes late for Finite Mathematics because the bus ran late and I got off at the wrong stop. The class is huge. Does it really matter what you wear on your first day of classes if there are so many people? No. The answer is no. I've given up trying to look nice since I sweat all over anyways.

I spent the entire time standing and frantically copying notes. I'm not ready to think yet.

BUT on the bright side, I ate dinner at Read, Landes Dining. It's like $3.40 out of my meal plan AND IT'S ALL YOU CAN FREAKING EAT. Yeah I ate. I think I've lost like 2 lbs since I've gotten here I keep forgetting to get lunch, I eat really tiny dinners, and I haven't touched junk food at all cause I don't have any in my room.
