freshman day #4

honors kids.

today we had a bunch of activities with the honors college. And I have finally discovered normal people! And Asians that speak English!

It's all quite exciting.

I took a nap in the afternoon cause I was too lazy to do anything else. Walked 20 minutes down to the bookstore. Honors pool party. (Ooh that was fun I met all the Asian American honors kids.) THEN we went back to their honors dorm (so normally they're supposed to be honors floors on each dorm but they had so many in the central neighborhood they just made a whole dorm) and watched Sixteen Candles in a girl's room with a bunch of people. It was a pretty fun way to spend my Saturday night, although the movie was basically a cheesy 80's chick flick (rated PG but with a ton of language and nudity and sexual references lol).

It was refreshing to meet people less inclined to spend all their time partying, but I still really would like to meet a good group of Christian friends. Edifying relationships, right? People who have a passion for God. Navigators call-out is this Wednesday, and I still have yet to hear about Intervarsity, but hopefully it'll all be quite soon, because I need to find a church!

Still debating whether or not I should just try the Reformed-Protestant service tomorrow because I got a flyer for that, or if I should just stay in my first Sunday and wait till I can go somewhere where I might possibly know someone?

Anyways, semi-productive day. Met many people. So I guess that's good :D
