This weekend I visited the fantastical city of Chicago.
And Carmel, where my lovely rooomie lives.
And Plainfield/Naperville, where PBARRY lives (!!)

Carmel, is a magical fantasy land. They have round-abouts in leu of traffic lights, European style buildings, realistic sculptures of 'citizens', asphalt roads, custom street signs, giant open yards with lakes and horses, and more.
"The Palladium"
It's a super gorgeous, fancy city that seriously rivals west Plano. Except, it's all in one city.
And wait, I touched a horse. Funny things they were, they enjoyed eating grass and they were very shy.
On Friday night we stayed at P's house in Plainfield and then visited downtown Naperville and their 'riverwalk'. (They tried.) It was really lovely though! We also ate at Giordano's (delicious).
On Saturday we visited Chicago! Chicago was more than I could have dreamed of. The architecture and sights are beautiful and all have so much character. I especially loved the train railings that go all around the downtown area. If you've never been, it's definitely an amazing place to visit. The Bean ("Cloud Gate") is a very cool thing to see, even if it is a bit touristy, and I can't wait till I get to visit the Art Institute again :3
We ate in Chinatown that night at a place called Lao Yunnan. Family style. The food was good, though nothing special. But I just remember looking up and seeing all of us eating together and it just felt so much like a family away from home. Praise God for the people He puts in our lives.
mmmmm, look at all that glistening oil. #attemptatvicksquisite
Of course, you can check out my flickr for more photos of my adventures. Half the trip comprised of us walking through the streets, me taking pictures and then running after my group of friends.
THE END.
