sophomore day #24

Today. Was. Awesome.

It was like that sudden overwhelming feeling of peace and comfort and satisfaction and awesomeness granted only by what God has so graciously provided.
And I am super pumped to glorify Him this year!!
I know I'm not writing near as often as I did last year, though I'm not sure anyone really cares but...

Saturday, September 13.
A lazy day, but an incredible night. It started with 22 Jump Street. (Review: HILARIOUS. Insanely funny jokes, one-liners, references, and more. I enjoyed it more than the original. Pretty crummy plot line. But it's so funny you just kinda forget.)
Then we did this thing again.

It doesn't get old.
Then we went to A's house and ate leftover Turkish food and lit tiny candles for the heck of it. Left at about 3:30AM. #collegelyfe
The late night snacking is not doing anything for me, but it sure is wonderful at the time.

I am so excited for Epic this year. I think bible study is going pretty well. We always have a homemade meal and and we're going through Ephesians, which is a very good beginning bible study book. It doesn't allow too much for debate or different interpretation, but it's definitely very gospel focused and a great book to read. (Thanks Paul!) Additionally, our 'head' this year is really involved and has been leading the studies, and I'm eager to see what more I can learn from Ephesians!

I'm pretty much unable to attend Navs bible study due to schedule conflicts (the woe of Team Tuesday evenings), but I'm really hoping to see Epic grow as a group. It's crazy to think a year ago I was lost and bewildered and I wandered all the way over to the Union after seeing a flyer stapled to my dorm's center building bulletin. And now I've found all these cool people.
There's a huge need for God on campus and just God in the hearts of everybody here. By God's will maybe we can really grow an Asian American Christian movement here through Epic. But first, we can invite a couple people every week, maybe we'll start doing a real basic worship soon with just a guitar too, baby steps.

As a final note, classes are going great, I'm loving that I can learn to read and write traditional (even if the audio files are slathered with mainlander accent), and nothing has been too stressful (thank you God. He has really granted me peace. And less neuroticism.)
L is an awesome roommate. You'd think you'd run out of things to talk about after spending so much time together, but we keep it going ;) She likes sleeping really early and she doesn't knock out quickly = sitting outside doing work = must try to work more efficiently = sleeping 6-7.5 hours every night. I tell L to eat better and keep cleaner and L tells me to write my resume and sleep earlier. We're a great pair.
Praise God from whom all blessings flow, truly.
On another side note, has anyone gone through 2 Corinthians before because man, I am so confused.

THE END.
