I suddenly realized that it's been a full week since we finished up the missions trip. Wow.
Today we went with our cousin to her worship service (They have Sunday morning worship for youth on Saturday nights!) And the pastor discussed love.
He asked, why does God love us?
Why does he love us? Even with all our faults, sins, and even when we turn away from Him, He still loves us. Unconditional love. But why? He made us, we're His creation, like a parent loves his/her child, right? But still... What a funny thing love is. And how amazingly great HIS love is.
Unconditional love. That phrase doesn't actually appear anywhere in the bible, but 1 Corinthians describes its essence.
SO, I forgot to mention one thing that really touched my heart while on missions. The love that we saw/felt. Both weeks, both churches were incredibly loving and receiving, but I was most touched by the younger kids/teacher assistants we met the first week. They wrote each of us little notes when we arrived. But it wasn't just that. The little kids were always hugging us, saying hello, following us around, greeting us super warmly, and just, loving us. And I kept thinking, why? We haven't done anything for them. They barely knew us. And they were going to be doing stuff for us, assisting us in class.
But then I realized how much they were demonstrating what God's love was. Unconditional. We didn't 'deserve' it, but they still loved us.
"I will love you with the love of the Lord我要特別感謝第一週教會的人. 我們沒有做任何事值得所有你們的愛,但是你們好善良和愛心我們.你們一直溫暖的歡迎我們. 大家展示了神的愛是什麼. 謝謝你們!! I can really see in you, the glory of our King.
I will love you with the love of the Lord
I can see in you, the glory of my King,
I will love you with the love of the Lord."
對不起, 我不知道怎麼寫中國文字, 所以我使用谷歌翻譯. 很抱歉如果我寫的不對!!
