All to him I owe.
Sin had left a crimson stain,
He washed it white as snow.
I think
God's love and grace is like snow. White, pure, clean salvation that falls everywhere and covers everything with its beautiful white flakes.
Snow gets dirty so easily. Wait a
But when it falls from the skies, it's always in the same, beautiful, white form. And we could plow and shovel the snow away, but when snow falls, it still covers everything. How beautiful is the blood that covered all our sins and saved us. How forgiving and loving is He, truly always and forever.
AND MAN, does it snow in Michigan. Mounds and mounds of snow everywhere, but it's so gorgeous. Ski trip with the Navs this past weekend was SO AWESOME. I love skiing. So fun. I'm finally less sore today, although I can't be totally sure if I'm feeling better or if the icy icy 10 degree weather outside is numbing any and all pain. That rush going down the mountain and over little hills and swerving side to side to maintain a manageable speed was so exhilarating. I'm so sure I picked the wrong sport as a kid.
And it's still snowing here.
Icy little particles, not fluffy flakes like they used to be. It's supposed to reach the negatives and have high's around 12 this and next week. Lovely, just lovely. I don't dislike the cold, but does it really have to be this cold? I can only wear so many layers of long sleeves before it gets uncomfortable.
Scrabble. Games late at night. Korean spa's. Skiing. Meeting a retired NBA player who played with the Mavs and on the national team who also happened to have Michael Jordan's training jersey. Beautiful homes. Snow in Michigan. It's all a wonderful memory.
THE END.
