TSA.
The Taiwanese Students Association.
On Saturday morning, K(idk if y'all remember, the sophomore who I met at the Kelley Carnival who's been incredibly helpful with college courses and IU stuff) had organized a brunch for about 13 people in the TSA. I only knew K and S out of the group, but I was excited nevertheless to eat some Chinese food. It started at 11 but we ended up sitting there chatting until 2. There were a lot of students there who actually, were born in America, but then grew up in Taiwan - so they were technically Asian Americans - but not really. Really trippy but quite interesting. Then aferwards we decided we would have a party at one of the guy's apartment that night - (no not really a party we just decided we would hangout and make dinner together really late at night...) So then we went to Kroger and then an oriental market (THERE'S AN ORIENTAL MARKET) to buy food. I went to the mall with a friend afterwards. I have spent so much money this weekend.
That night I baked a cake (yeah I did) Kroger mix style: super buttery and actually quite delicious but seriously it was so fatty and then K made a bunch of the food - bok choy and broccoli with chicken and fried rice and miso soup, it was all really delicious and it was so great to hang out with everybody. A different crowd, but they were all so nice and cool. And I never got the feeling that I was looked down upon because I was ABC or because I didn't want to speak chinese cause my accent sucks. I'm just so glad I met everybody :3
THE END.
