BUSY.
Whoever said college was chill, lied. Like even for business majors. Yeah I'm only taking 13.5 hours and none of those are particularly difficult at all, and basically it's only 11 credit hours, but oh goodness there's always something else I have to do!
So today I was chatting with some of my new friends what it meant to me to believe in Christ and also like, what I was looking for in a fellowship group.
I believe that Jesus Christ died on the cross for my sins, was buried, and rose three days later. And with the salvation and hope of life that God has given to us, because He gave his only, beloved son to save my (and your) undeserving, sinful soul, and has given us new life in Him, I owe my life to Him.
But anyways, I went to a bible study today. Needless to say it was weird.
We were supposed to talk about self-worth, but we started off with an icebreaker of who our ideal soul-mate was...
I will not judge the responses of the other girls.
But personally (Imma get all girly here okay y'all)
Your soul-mate, like. I don't know. At this point in my life I think I would be contented to spend the rest of my life by myself. (Not so girly). But my ideal soul-mate would just be a guy who is passionate for God. Passionate in that relationship with Him. Think about it, if a guy is strong in his relationship with God, and if he just somewhat understands that love between God and the church, God and us, the LOVE God has, wouldn't that naturally be translated into his relationship with his significant other? Of course he would be a good listener, someone who treasured/thought his other half was special, would want to protect her. Like, what is the love God has for the church? For us? Unconditional love. Even though God absolutely abhors sin, He still wants that relationship with us.
So yeah.
It would be wonderful, if the guy was tall, if he had nice eyes, if he was smart, if he was funny, if he (continues on forever...). But is that what would really make a relationship? A soul-mate? Someone who looked good and looked good next to you?
I don't have any pictures for today. WAIT. YES.
We had a career and internship fair today. Nice name tags ;) OH SNAP, that was exhausting. Literally making conversation for two hours, asking "Does your company offer freshman internships?", and trying to note details (AND NAMES!) that you can mention in your thank-you e-mail to them (sent within the next 24 hours) Delightful.
THE END.
