freshman day #26

Productive Weekends.

This weekend I will say, has been the best weekend I've had thus far.

Saturday: Woke up at 12:40, went to Kroger, did laundry, ate at Woodland (new dining place they just opened; has like Asian, Italian, Mexican, Steak, super fancy looking), and watched Iron Man 3.

Sunday: Church, biked around, Epic, Lunar Festival, more eating at Woodland.

There were two unfortunate things: one, from 2-3:45AM there were people yelling loudly in the halls. Like continuously. There was some drunk girl and she kept yelling too. It was really awful and I definitely could not sleep through that. THEN, (one point five I guess) I kept falling asleep in service and I felt really exhausted most of today. Two, I lost my headphones when we went to see Iron Man 3.

But I just feel like this weekend went really well. I was so glad to finally watch Iron Man 3! (Although I think they tried to put too much in the movie and it ended up producing some awkward/flat characters and unfinished story lines) And then at Epic I can't tell you how good it felt to see like, 5+ Asian Americans in a room reading Ephesians together. Met some new friends too! And I bonded with a girl over free food --> Lunar Festival. And then when me and K went to eat at Woodland, we bumped into one of the guys I met at Epic (who I also met a couple weeks back but he didn't remember me lol). So Woodland had like, Asian noodles and Pho, I tried both on Saturday and Sunday. SOUNDED really great, but I mean, definitely not as good as what we had back in Plano. But sufficiently filling and decently tasty. YEAH ANYWAYS, we chatted for like an hour after finishing eating, and it just felt so good to have like, good conversation with other people! And that other guy thought I was really weird but that's cool. Felt comfortable being able to be weird again.

So praise God for fellowship, praise God for the weather. Praise God for bringing new people in my life and just making this weekend so much better than the past week was.

THE END.
