I'm writing this early because my day is basically done now.
Went to Genesis church this morning with C and her friend A. It was quite interesting, the power went out and stayed like that for the remainder of service. I enjoyed service though. The church was relatively small, but not tiny. And the message was definitely different from anything I had ever heard before, but it was pretty good!
Are you supposed to be as close to your new church 'family' as your fellowship or your old church? Or do you go just for the service/message/pastor? We did not greet that many people in the congregation, and it seemed like C didn't know too many people either. Or it's just cause it was super dark in the sanctuary and we couldn't see anyone.
But anyways, afterwards we went to this Chinese restaurant called 'Great Wall.' It was so legit they had a menu entirely in Chinese. And me and C were like...(we are such disgraces) and A was an international student, so she was fine. It was pretty funny. Our waiter was the sassiest dude ever. He was this Asian man about my dad's age I would say, decent English since he probably moved here awhile ago, but man. Sassy. But I got noodles and they don't look that great in this picture, but they were really good though. I did not finish, but I brought half of it home, so I'll have it for lunch tomorrow :9
Then I took a 2 hour nap.
And haven't exactly done anything since then except eat salad alone in the dining hall again.
