I'm surprised by how I never shared my final thoughts on my internship and my experience in Minneapolis. So here's the wrap up:
First of all, let's just say that it was all God. It was all God. I'm still amazed at the extent of His work in all of it. From the point I got my first interview and even to the point I got my final rejection from the company.
I was recruiting from abroad, shut out by the business school's career services and on my own to find a very "crucial" pre-senior year internship for the summer. I applied and searched for internships day after day, spending up to two hours after classes looking online, applying, and editing my resume.
And somehow, I got an interview from Polaris.
And then a second round interview with Polaris.
And then an offer.
And I get placed in the fantastical International marketing department with only the best people and position possible. Shoutouts to Mary, Jess, Billy, and of course, pasta boy.
And even beyond that, I was exploring the great city of Minneapolis with the best housemate and friend, Emily - this random girl from Rochester, MN I just so happened to sublet with. Who would have known?
That we'd have so much fun cooking dinner together, or doing grocery runs at Cubs, or going out for trivia, or exploring the Stone Arch Bridge for the billionth time.
I am so incredibly amazed by the people God has placed in my life this year, and everything he has done to provide for me. I'm amazed by the ways he's grown me in my faith and in my character as I share the love and hope I have in Christ. I'm amazed. Amazed.
This summer will truly be one of my most memorable, and though I'm not returning, I can only express gratitude for the people and experiences I've had. What a blessing it's been.
