'Christianese' sounds about the same everywhere.
Isn't that crazy? From Texas to Indiana and then to Taiwan and Scotland, the words, phrases, and ideas Christians use to describe who God is, what is love is like, and how good it is to know him, are all the same. And as off-putting as it is sometimes to non-Christians, we often can't help but use 'Christianese' when talking about life and life with Christ. We've grown into it, learned it. It's our system of communication regarding our shared belief and understanding of Christ.
We have every reason to call Him good, and just, and wonderful, and powerful, and awesome. We know what He's done to bring us life. We know the greatness of Jesus Christ.
This is what it's supposed to be.
Every tongue, every tribe, every nation before our Lord God and King.
This is what it's going to be in heaven.
Every voice praising the Lord regardless of what language we speak or where we're from.
One body in Christ.
Granted, it's just Scotland, and they all speak British English here. But I am always amazed and excited to see the body of Christ outside home.
Also a note on how Christianese is therefore a very bad way to communicate with people who don't believe in Jesus, because they literally wouldn't understand.
