It's been an incredible summer to say the very least.
A summer of just God revealing Himself in so many ways. There was DCCYC, ADVENT, even VBS and Helping Hands.
The rest of August was filled with VBS, Senior Appreciation, meeting up with old friends, final goodbyes, and packing for Indiana.
One final reflection? Let's go.

Post ADVENT II
(A version of what I shared on Sunday Mission's sharing) That first morning the first week we went in to teach English, we had first graders. Cute, perfect, sweet little first graders, and teaching went better than we could have hoped for. In the afternoon, we taught what were basically incoming seniors. Big jump. I was nervous, anxious, and altogether a mess, frantically asking K to translate every other word I said. All I could think was, they just stare at us funny. They don't like us. How are we going to share the gospel on Thursday?! They're going to sit there and stare at us funny. Tuesday: Rinse, wash, repeat.
But Tuesday night I'm sitting there and I realize, how stupid I am. K and I are not alone in that classroom struggling to teach. God is in that room with us. We are on missions for Him, doing His work; He is with us! What can we not overcome with His power?
The gospel is a glorious thing. As I mentioned before, 1 Corinthians 2:1-5 tells us of how we preach it with the power of God. And you know what else? We were telling the same gospel to those little first graders as we were to the seniors, and even so, it's complete salvation to them both.
So bringing it back home, bringing it back to me going back to campus today, how am I going to be sharing the gospel with others? 1. God is with me. He was with us while in Taiwan, He is with us here, wherever we may be. Those two weeks, I was struck by how much those kids needed Jesus. They wanted to be rich, to be pretty, to have all these things that ultimately wouldn't satisfy them like a relationship with Christ would. But as much as we saw a need for God there, the people here have that same need. The people on my campus have that need.

It doesn't matter who we are, who we aren't, what we have or don't have, what we can do or can't do, God sent His son down to die for all of us. But it doesn't end there, Jesus is Risen, and no matter who we are, what we have, or what we can do, we all can have a sure hope in that. And can I tell you, what a great, great hope that is.
THE END.
