sophomore day #7

Oh no! I forgot to get this started again. New year! New me! Totally!
I am living in the honors dorm this year with the most lovely and wonderful L and many, many freshmen. It's a very different life here. We tried the 'let's make friends' route the first several days: door open, music playing, you know. We got tired of making friends though. But it's been great! I've made a couple of pretty awesome friends and have gotten to know the names of several people on our floor :O That's a surprise.
L and I played pretend freshmen and went to nearly all the freshmen activities that we didn't do last year, and to say the least, I probably should have done all those events last year. Maybe it would have gotten me out of my little self protective bubble.

Unlike the first week of my freshman year, the first week on campus has been quite enjoyable, less the humidity and hot weather (It feels like Taiwan). Look, we've even decorated ;)

I'm pretty pumped for the school year. I've yet to get a routine down of doing homework and relaxing and getting out sometimes, but eventually.
I'm taking Chinese II, Compass (business class about resumes, interviews, blah blah, and more blah blah), Intermediate Microeconomic Theory, Business Communications, Ballroom Dance, and Business Statistics. YAY! Everything is swell.

Yesterday there were "sun showers", where it's sunny but it's raining. It was SPARKLING outside and very beautiful (hard to see in the picture but still) AND TODAY there was even a tiny adorable mouse running around our econ class to keep us all (me) awake.
